Geraldton FLC – New Building Development
Geraldton FLC Building Project
The first stage of Geraldton Flexible Learning Centre’s capital development plans have begun on the former St Patrick’s College site in Bayly St, Geraldton.
After many years of planning with the support of Bishop Michael Morrissey and the Geraldton Diocese, Catholic Education Western Australia (CEWA), our staff and local architect, Bruce Sherwood for Eastman Poletti Sherwood, and our Flexi Community is looking forward to being in new facilities and being able to move out of the original St Patrick’s Building.
The first stage of the building project will include the construction of four classrooms, creating art, manual arts, and wellbeing areas as well as a commercial training kitchen, multipurpose area, staff and reception areas and ablution facilities.
On completion of the building program Flexi will relocate from the original St Patrick’s building. This original building will be preserved into the future due to its historical significance in the Geraldton community.
EREA Flexible Schools Ltd is very appreciative of the support of the Federal and State Governments. The Federal government will contribute a $650K capital grant and the WA State government will support the project with a low interest loan of $2M. The rest of the project will be funded through a capital development loan taken out by the Geraldton Flexible Learning Centre with the support of EREA Flexible Schools Ltd.
